I decided to be a PSW because of my empathy towards people in-need, especially helping vulnerable members of the community to thrive, by making a difference in their lives.

Being in this profession for the past three years now, my career as a PSW has been very rewarding, though challenging. My greatest joy is knowing that my clients are happy after providing personal care to them, which is one of my duties. I have had to give my clients customised/individualized personal care allowing me to relate more personally with each of them; knowing how they feel; what and how to eat; how to groom them; in short making life more comfortable for them as they need. This personalised care often gets me a good bond with people of older generation, thereby giving more knowledge and wisdom especially where l have to work with them by giving them companionship care. Of course, this is what makes this profession so great.

I’m happy doing this job for l help not only my individual clients but their families and friends as well by giving them good relief and much needed peace of mind.
